GM Supply Power — Lead Strategist & PMO Project Manager

GM Supply Power (B2B): [www.gmsupplypower.com]  A notable web site I have worked on was GM Supply Power, a highly regarded global enterprise supply chain communications web site used by General Motors to coordinate the relationship of their purchasing department with over 6,000 global suppliers.  My role for GM as a consultant and IT strategist was to help GM become more ‘client-driven’ by measuring the effectiveness of their site through a benchmarking study, creation of detailed site metrics to provide analysis for prioritizing new initiatives, and working directly with users (suppliers) to identify areas for improvement to content, navigation, performance, ‘pro-activeness’, and general usefulness in a complex technical architecture.   My work on this site is a good example of my ability to help large organizations take a marketing approach to identify the requirements, drivers, and action steps to personalize communications and create a value proposition necessary to form and grow a successful Internet based community of participants.  I believe the strategy and management approach is the same for B2B and B2C sites.
